Hydrogen is the fuel that will power the devices of the future. A technological breakthrough is occurring in the heating sector. POLIDORO burners evolved over the last decades to allow boilers to be more compact, more efficient, less polluting, less noisy. Now it is time to point to zero carbon dioxide emissions. This is giant leap and requires a technological evolution of the components involved in combustion, first of all the burner that is the somehow the heart of the device. Combustion characteristic change dramatically when hydrogen comes into play, and the design of a burner becomes a challenging engineering task. POLIDORO strength is knowledge. We have been studying hydrogen combustion for almost 8 years, we have now simulation codes available and fully functional test rooms. Hydrogen burners involve also the evolution of the production technology, therefore we have been investing over the last years in the industrialization of innovative production technologies. Our final target is to develop customized products, that allows a safe and efficient operation to the future hydrogen boilers.
